Financing a Law Degree

The best advice with regards to doing a law degree is to do it quickly. Get it started this year and you will avoid the big rise in University tuition fees. However, you will still need to find a way of paying for the tuition and your living expenses.

Many studies opt for getting a student loan. This can be a good option because they do not charge interest while you are still studying and you normally do not have to pay them back until you get a job which pays a decent salary. However, it can still be very daunting having to start your working life with such a big debt.

One way to help yourself is to save hard before you start. Many choose to delay for a year and work, to save up money to help pay for the living expenses and the course. This can be a good idea unless you are able to start study this year and then you should start as soon as possible, as mentioned above. You could work while you are studying, many students do a part time job and this can help a bit, but if it stops you being able to get such good grades, then this could not be a good plan.
