The Scottish Law Commission has put forward proposals to clean up Scottish bankruptcy laws.

Should Rioters Lose their Benefits?
An online petition at epetitions.direct.gov.uk demands welfare-dependent rioters convicted of offences linked to the recent disorder around the country, surrender their state handouts.
Now over 100,000 people have called for convicted rioters and looters to lose their benefits saying they show a disregard for the country that provides for them.
Manchester and Salford councils have already promised to take the action necessary against looters, including evicting them from council properties. » Read more..
UK airlines could lose millions due to Legal claims costs
The ATAB, Air Travel advisory Bureau will help co-ordinate legal claims against UK airlines that have not refunded Air Passenger Duty (APD) tax to passengers who have booked tickets but not flown.
Since the tax was first introduced in 1994, ATAB estimates that some airlines have withheld tens of millions of pounds from their customers.
Over the past few months ATAB has been closely monitoring how different airlines behave when it comes to APD refunds.
